This draft explains how Ballops handles information on this marketing site. It should be reviewed and finalized before launch.
Information we collect
When you join the waitlist or contact us, we collect the information you choose to send, such as your email address, organization name and message content. We also use privacy-friendly analytics to understand aggregate site traffic and conversion performance.
How we use information
We use this information to respond to you, manage waitlist interest, improve the Ballops marketing site and prepare product onboarding for leagues and organizations.
Service providers
We may use trusted infrastructure, hosting, analytics, email and database providers to operate the site and process waitlist requests. These providers should only process information for the services they provide to Ballops.
Cookies
The current marketing site does not require a cookie banner. If we add tools that store non-essential cookies in the future, we will update this policy and request consent where required.
The Ballops app (app.ballops.com)
The app counts how often it is opened, whether it was opened from a phone's home screen, and when it is installed, as daily totals per type of device. It sets no cookies and stores nothing on your device for this. To count a visitor once per day, the server mixes your network address and browser type with a random code that is replaced every day. The mixed result and the code are deleted after two days, are never written to our database, and cannot be traced back to you; what remains are the daily totals.
Retention
We keep waitlist and contact information only as long as needed for the purposes above, unless a longer period is required for legal, security or operational reasons.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to the use of your personal data. You can contact us to make a request.
