What's new
Ballops gets better every week, for leagues, captains and fans. Here is everything that changed, newest first.
- v2.2.210 Oct 2026Latest
A floating tab bar, a real football, and sharper team stats
- The bottom bar is now a floating, frosted capsule, with the tab you are on picked out.
- Goals are marked with a proper football and assists with a bold "A", in the match overview, line-ups, player stats and on player pages.
- A team's player stats count only what each player did for that club, and minutes show as "—" in competitions played without substitutes.
- Tap a club in a team's standings to open it; the player stats sheet now slides up from the bottom.
- Filter buttons in league details no longer stretch after switching tabs.
- v2.2.19 Oct 2026
Tidier match lists
- By Day and Favourites show the day, date and kick-off of each upcoming match on the right, as the league screens do, with slightly smaller names and crests so more fits on a screen.
- v2.2.08 Oct 2026
A smoother fan app, a news feed with stories, and a help desk
- News is now Feed. It opens with stories: the player and the results of the day, the player and the team of the week, and the latest awards. Below, the top performances, biggest wins and best of the week are big cards you tap or swipe through. A player who played for more than one team counts all his matches. Everything is counted after every match.
- All Games is in three short sections: your favourites (including the leagues you follow), featured competitions, and everything else. Each competition shows its league underneath.
- Every window opens as a card sheet you can swipe down; tabs slide their underline across; pictures load at the size they are shown, so screens fill much faster.
- Changing the language or the theme applies at once on every screen, and the tab bar is in Bulgarian too.
- Star a match or a league right from the list or its page: it is saved and its alerts are on, no reload.
- Awards have their own trophies, and a club’s awards (man of the match included) open into a card with the player and the match.
- Charts: a club’s form, points match by match and goals for and against; a player’s season in rings and their last matches.
- Match pages: stat bars fill from the middle, the man of the match sits with the line-ups, icons instead of emoji, and dates other than today show the weekday.
- Search finds a player by first and last name together. Cancelled matches also lists postponed ones, including those still waiting for a date. Favourites keep three weeks of results, newest at the bottom.
- Goal alerts are shorter: GOAL, the score with the scoring side in brackets, then the scorer and the minute. A changed scorer sends one "corrected" alert instead of a goal taken back and a new one.
- Going back keeps your place: All Games, By Day, Favourites and Leagues remember where you were, and switching tabs on a match, club, player or competition no longer jumps to the top.
- Admin panel: Support in the menu lets anyone send a request with up to five screenshots, and the Ballops team answers in the panel.
- v2.1.77 Oct 2026
Delete a played match, and smaller fixes
- A match that was played by mistake can be deleted from its page (Actions, Danger zone). Before anything changes you see the new table and every team's and player's totals; confirming takes the result and its stats back out everywhere, including the website and the fan app.
- The Facebook post after a match uses the names clubs registered with, in both languages.
- Back on a match page returns to the page you opened it from, with the same tab, filters and scroll position.
- Delegates can upload player photos.
- Merging a player entered twice asks whether he plays for both teams; if he does, he stays on both.
- A player's matches are the ones he played, for whichever club, including clubs he has left; matches he sat out of his club's squad are no longer listed as his.
- The fan app's team sheet shows goals, assists and cards as clear icons, in white on the dark theme.
- v2.1.67 Oct 2026
Match dates, captains and partners
- When your teams' matches get their dates, you hear it once, however many matches that is. There's a switch for it in Preferences.
- Captains get a notification when their club's registration is approved or declined, and when someone else claims their club.
- League websites with several cities: the Cities menu now works on tablets and touch screens.
- ballops.com shows Ballops in numbers and a new Partners page.
- v2.1.56 Oct 2026
Match alerts and Favourites, fixed
- Match alerts reach phones again. If you turned them on and nothing arrived, turn them off and on once in the app.
- Favourites shows each starred match as it is now: the score once it is played, not the kick-off time from when you starred it.
- Matches removed when a schedule is redone no longer linger in Favourites or on a team’s page.
- v2.1.45 Oct 2026
Officials before kick-off
- Starting a match now opens with who and where: delegate, referee, venue and doctor, in one short screen.
- It's filled in for you where it can be: you as the delegate, and the venue when your league has only one.
- A league with a single venue gets it on every upcoming match automatically.
- v2.1.35 Oct 2026
Safer accounts
- An admin login that is no longer needed can be retired: it is signed out everywhere and can no longer sign in.
- v2.1.25 Oct 2026
What's new, at a glance
- Release notes in the app: Preferences → What's new, with the version you're on.
- The same notes on ballops.com/releases.
- v2.1.15 Oct 2026
Notifications, polished
- A clearer welcome to notifications, with a preview and the four kinds at a glance.
- New leagues get match notifications from day one.
- On iPhone, the Home Screen tip appears only once notifications are ready.
- v2.1.04 Oct 2026
Match notifications
- Kick-off, every goal and the final score for the teams and matches you follow, straight to your phone.
- Follow a player and hear how they did after every match: goals and assists.
- Follow a league for its final scores, or switch on every match.
- Matches moved, postponed or cancelled, so you never turn up for nothing.
- Captains hear about their own club: fixture changes, suspensions and squad requests.
- In Bulgarian or English, and every kind can be switched off.
- v2.0.34 Oct 2026
Match day, sharpened
- Live scores stay right even when two goals are entered at the same moment.
- A match started too early can go back to kick-off.
- Matches can be postponed with the new date to be confirmed.
- Standings no longer rank teams that have withdrawn.
- Search for everyone on the league panel, delegates included.
- Tighter privacy between leagues.
- v2.0.02 Oct 2026
The new Ballops
- A completely new panel for leagues, built to run match day from a phone.
- Every page rebuilt: players, matches, competitions, teams and more.
- Search across players, clubs and matches from anywhere.
- Fairer discipline: a second yellow card leads to one ban, not two.
- Own goals count for the right team in the team stats.
